The performance of a standard factory T-MAX is severely limited by the size of the OEM air box and velocity stacks which are intended to reduce the noise created by the aspiration itself.
The Jetprime enlarged air box was created to compensate for the lack of air volume especially when other modifications have been made to the T-MAX.
